Tariq is a Saudi Certified Public Accountant (SOCPA), with register No. (676).
Prior to establishing Tariq H. Zaino CPA, Tariq was Audit Head for Large Taxpayers at the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) from October 2017 to October 2019. Where he led four departments, Zakat and Corporate Income Tax, VAT, Excise and Transfer Pricing. He also contributed establishment and launch of VAT in Saudi Arabia, and the transformation of the Department of Zakat and Income (DZIT) to the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA).
During his tenure at ZATCA, he also served as Vice-Chairman of the Zakat & Tax Settlement Committee, which had significant contributions to the resolution of outstanding Zakat and tax disputes.
Previously, he was a Financial Advisor to the Appeal Committee for the Resolution of Securities Disputes (ACRSD) at The General Secretariat of the Committees for Resolutions of Securities Disputes (CRSD) from October 2014 to October 2017. Where he specialized in studying criminal and civil cases in the capital market.
At the beginning of his career, he held several positions at Ernst & Young (EY), where he served as Manager of Zakat and Tax for the period from June 2012 to October 2014, and before that as Assistant Manager of External Audit from June 2006 to June 2012. During this period, he covered various business sectors, including but not limited to contracting, telecommunications, information technology, manufacturing, healthcare, hospitality, and real estate.
